Foreword by the composer:
As a piano teacher, I'm always looking for easy music for my students.
If I can't find a suitable piece, I write it myself.
The pupils are also my first listeners. I always play the pieces to them and ask if they like it. So I created this item with compositions that my students enjoy playing.

All music titles (except "Procession of the lemmings") are very relative and should indicate the way of playing.

After a piece is finished, I rack my brains over what it should be called.
It has little to do with music, it is rather an additional dimension for our perception. Please do not hope to find soft fur, grain bank and cheek pouches in the piece "My Hamster". Listen into yourself.

Kissling Sonata for violin and piano

Adolf Kissling schrieb diese Sonate - wie auch etliche bisher unveröffentlichte Lieder - um 1920, in einer Zeit, in der Richard Wagner. Richard Strauss und die Impressionisten das Musikleben bestimmten. Das Werk wurde erst in 1950er Jahren in einer Aufführung seines Sohnes Karl Adolf Kissling mit dem Pianisten Erich Helbling einem Bremer Publikum vorgestellt. Nun hat eine Enkelin des Komponisten, Susanne Schulz (Violine), mit ihrer Kollegin Miyuki Motoi (Piano) das Werk durch eine Einspielung zu neuem Leben erweckt. Es handelt sich um eine erstaunliche Violinsonate und es wird noch interessanter wenn man bedenkt, dass es sich dabei um ein Erstlingswerk handelt! Was hätte dieser Komponist noch alles geschrieben, wenn seine Lebensumstände es zugelassen hätten.

For violin and a viola accompaniment ad lib, set up by Oliver Rosteck. In the booklet there is also the version for viola and violin ad lib. (the reversal), therefore the viola has a beautiful, leading task.
