About us

A music publisher introduces itself.

After the end of the 2nd World War Richard Albert Schubert (1901-1956) came to Emden and founded a music publishing house with an associated music shop. He got himself a decommissioned railway carriage and set it up in the Stadtgarten of Emden.
Under mostly adventurous circumstances, he procured musical instruments from the then Soviet-occupied zone and printed his own works, which he then offered for sale.

Thus began Eres Edition, the music publishing company founded in 1946 and still run by its owners today.

As early as 1947 the publishing house moved to Bremen and has been based in Lilienthal, on the outskirts of Bremen, since 1970. Meanwhile in its own publishing house.

We are now already working in the 3rd generation on making the creative work of our authors accessible to a wider audience in printed editions.  In addition to the work of contemporary authors, works by older masters are also published, some in adaptations.
